Win Signed Timeslingers Art!

Monday, July 12th, 2010

Want to win signed Timeslingers art from Nathan Scheck? Starting today, you just might. It’s simple.

On Twitter:

Write the following statement as your status update: @Timeslingers Free fiction isn’t enough! Enter my name in the contest to win signed art from http://www.timeslingers.com!

On Facebook:

Post the following statement on the Timeslingers fan page (make sure it appears on our WALL!): @Timeslingers Free fiction isn’t enough! Enter my name in the contest to win signed art from http://www.timeslingers.com!

Either social networking site works, you don’t have to do both (though we’d love it if you did). Just make sure that you include “@Timeslingers!”

Double Your Chances of Winning

If you want to double your chances of winning, also send us a direct message (on Twitter) or send an e-mail to palidod(at)yahoo(dot)com (for Facebook users) with an answer to the following question: “Which Timeslingers character is African American?” (we just need to prove you’re a true Timeslingers fan!). Send your answer to us and you’ll double your chances of winning!

Details:

Just do what we said above. Family and friends of Timeslingers are all elidgible (because, let’s face it, they are our biggest fanbase). Also, just know that we’ll be printing the art and mailing it to you, so we’ll need to collect an address from you if you win. Contest ends July 30, 2010!

Thanks for participating! Tell your friends! Tell your family!

Timeslingers Contest!

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

As Nathan and I work on Season 2 (don’t have a release date just yet), we thought it would be cool to have a little contest. It gives us the chance to give back to our readers, and it will hopefully encourage our readers to promote Timeslingers and get more readers dropping by!

What’s could you win? How about signed Timeslingers art by Nathan Scheck delivered right to your door!

Details are still being worked out, but check back July 12 for contest rules. Thanks for being a Timeslingers fan!

If you haven’t “liked” us on Facebook yet, we’d love for you to do so! Visit www.facebook.com/timeslingers! You can also follow us on Twitter: @Timeslingers.

Timeslingers News

Saturday, April 17th, 2010

The question is…what should we do in Season 2? Now that Season 1 is finished, we’d love to hear what else you all might be interested in reading more about. What characters do you like? Who should come back for Season 2? Who shouldn’t?

How about time periods? Do you have a favorite moment in history that you’d like to see the timeslingers return to? Or maybe you’d like to see us explore more science fiction elements. Maybe you’d even like to see us get really crazy and write about vampires that twinkle (we won’t do that no matter how hard you push us)! Weigh in! Let your opinion be heard! Comment here or join our new Facebook group at www.facebook.com/Timeslingers!

Also, just to let you know, Nathan (@nscheck on Twitter) continues to post art at www.albinokraken.com, and I (J aka @Timeslingers on Twitter) have been posting short stories recently over at www.jsherer.com. In addition to those random works, we’re also creating a comic book! Be sure to stay tuned for more info!

The End…sort of

Friday, March 26th, 2010

Well, Season 1 is over. What’d you think? What’d you like? What didn’t you like?

Is there something you’d like to see us tackle in Season 2? Were all your questions answered? Who is Jacob and what does he want with Hurley? Er…wait…wrong story…

Seriously, though, let us know what you think!

PS. There’s more cool stuff coming to Timeslingers.com this Monday! So stay tuned!!!

Keeping Up

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

One of the things I hear from people quite frequently is, “Oh, yeah, I really enjoy Timeslingers, but I always forget to check the site.” Half of these people really do like it, but forget to check it. The other half actually hate it and just want me to go away.

Either way, if you really do want to keep up, the best way to do so is to sign up for the RSS feed. We have about 20 more episodes to go in Season 1 (that’s about 60 installments!). You definitely don’t want to miss out or forget to come back. So, when you get a chance, please sign up to our RSS feed! It’s a great way to stay current!

If you’re wondering what an RSS feed is and how they actually work, check out this RSS resource.

In the meantime, I’d like to give a shout-out to a couple people I follow on Twitter. If you like comics or writing that resembles comics (e.g. Timeslingers), I highly suggest you follow @pulptone and @bobbynash.

Thanks for stopping by! And don’t forget the RSS feed!

Official Launch Date Announced

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

You’ve read the preview. Want more? Well, come July 6, you’ll have it. Episode 1 will launch July 6. Installments 2 and 3 will launch on July 9 and 13 (respectively). From that point on, we’ll be releasing installments every Monday and Thursday. Each Episode (usually comprised of 3 installments) will have a new illustration as well. If you haven’t caught up yet, you still have time. Read the preview episode and let us know what you think! Thanks for supporting Timeslingers.

Other notes:

  • Special thanks to the BookViewCafe judges for choosing my entry in their Twitter fiction contest for 2nd place (tie). Congrats to the other winners as well, including Karina Fabian (another Infinite Space, Infinite God alum – not to mention the whole reason it was published).
  • Nathan and I should be publishing some Timeslingers items on the Kindle, so if you have one, look for us soon!
  • Like comic books? Nathan and I will likely be starting one of those as well (though, that’s a longer term project).

I think that’s it for now. Thanks for reading! For more updates, subscribe to the RSS feed or follow us on Twitter!

Preview Episode Finished – More to Come

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

That’s it for the preview episode. We have 16 episodes “in the can,” which means roughly 48 installments waiting to be released. Those of you who used to read the legacy version of Timeslingers will recognize the upcoming installments, but they all have been altered in more ways that one, so you’ll also find new stuff spread throughout.

Right now, Nathan and I are in discussions about when to lock-in our formal release schedule. We do know that we’ll be releasing two installments per week on Mondays and Thursdays. All that’s left to decide is when we start.

Other cool stuff to watch out for:

  • Timeslingers spin-off stories (available for download sometime soon)
  • Albino Kraken art updates

Don’t miss out on what we’re doing! Sign up for the RSS feed or follow us on Twitter (www.twitter.com/timeslingers). Stay tuned for the next episode! And thank you for your support!
